Towards blue skies clear

As stars whisper secrets sweet

Mellow dreams appeal

In pied shades of teal

Towards puffy clouds retreat        

Traversing afar

Wishing on a star

Skyward bound the solar way

Rosy Sun embarks

Sending fiery sparks

Ushering in a new day

Awaking from dreams

Merrily the wind bellows

The Alouette

The Alouette, created by Jan Turner, consists of two or more stanzas of 6 lines each, with the following set rules:

 Meter: 5, 5, 7, 5, 5, 7

Rhyme Scheme: a, a, b, c, c, b

The form name is a French word meaning ‘skylark’ or larks that fly high, the association to the lark’s song being appropriate for the musical quality of this form. The word ‘alouette’ can also mean a children’s song (usually sung in a group), and although this poetry form is not necessarily for children’s poetry (but can be applied that way), it is reminiscent of that style of short lines.  Preference for the meter accent is on the third syllable of each line  

The only way I can indeed get back and get the inspiration and motivation to write  is by attempting various forms of poetry.

And here I have found a brand new form  - Kyrielle Sonnet.

Upon svelte dreams of velvet skies

Drifting past iridescent highs

Every spectacle makes me swoon

Oh firefly! Fly me to the moon

Feathery clouds of midnight blue

Where I’m headed, I have no clue

Breathtaking moments, make me croon

Oh Firefly! Fly me to the moon

Leaving trail of cottony hue

Transcending sense of dejavu

My heart, it sings a merry tune

Kyrielle Sonnet

A Kyrielle Sonnet consists of 14 lines (three rhyming quatrain stanzas and  a non-rhyming couplet). Just like the traditional Kyrielle poem, the Kyrielle Sonnet also has a repeating line or phrase as a refrain (usually appearing  as the last line of each stanza). Each line within the Kyrielle Sonnet consists of only eight syllables. French poetry forms have a tendency to link back to the beginning of the poem, so common practice is to use the first and last line of the first quatrain as the ending couplet. This would also re-enforce the refrain within the poem. Therefore, a good rhyming scheme for a Kyrielle Sonnet would be:

 AabB, ccbB, ddbB, AB -or- AbaB, cbcB, dbdB, AB.

Forever….!!!

When love is true,

you want it forever;
When love is deep,

forever is enough never;
When heart is enraptured,

eternity is craved for;

When soul is enriched,

 infinite is the dimension of love-
Stretching far into the horizon…, Forever alive, forever young!
Lucky are those who find love, So pure as this.
Blessed are those who can love,As deeply as this.
Enchanted are the moments shared, With a loved one like this.
Enthralling the experience of a love, As deep as this…
So savor the moments And don’t let them go.
Capture them in your heart and let your soul glow…

On the tenterhooks of an emotional overhaul, I wrote a poem on emotional baggage that we often carry around. Baggage that is on our back with every experience, every incident, every person in our life. This baggage at times brings fond memories and at times gives pain. This emotional baggage needs to be shed, only than shall we emerge stronger and have peace of mind.

Once in while

There comes a time

When baggage in pile

Should be left behind

Those are the things

That trouble our mind

Those are bad feelings

To be left behind

Gone is another year

Which came with such zest

Some for some good, for some meager

Yet for others it was the best

I am not sure how well I have provided an insight on the emotional baggage and how to rectify them. But I hope you do like the poem.

Arranged marriages though very common in India for centuries together are still very much prevalent and happening.. The pain that the gal goes through in each of the “rishta” that comes is m sure more than what she feels during labour..There still exist the Maa-s who feel her kid(irrespective of son/daughter) is one up on the other person’s comparing qualifications, skin colour/texture, height, salary package et al. bringing the skin of Generation Y to blush a deep beetroot till their roots which otherwise on any given day would be as normal as yours or mine.

Never before have a I read any book so fast in my life
Ineligible Bachelors- as the name might have already given a clue is about arranged marriage.. The narrator
also the female protagonist and her tell tales of meeting prospective groom alongside her inexplicable “chemistry n love” with her boss..Does kasturi have a say in front of an “if-u-loved-me-enuff-u-wud-meet-this-guy” mom and a “my-lips-are-sealed” dad? Will she marry the man she fell in love with.. or choose one of the guys her dearest MA chooses for her? Will She Wont She??

To all this drama add a few twists and turns accident, broken bones, hospital scenes, thugs, attempt to murder alongwith a few “crack-me-up” meets with prospective grooms and you have a Hilarious CHICK LIT..
Overall I am satisfied with the book… I laughed, cried, swore at the right places.. which definitely means I enjoyed the book.. The best thing about reading Chick-lits is relating to the characters in the book which is an important aspect to relish a book and yes to a very large extent I could relate to the main character in more than many ways.. Another tale of Happily Ever After and hell, we have enough worries in reality we could do with a wee bit of happiness in the books and movies atleast I give it a 4/5

Kudos to Ruchita Misra.. Why? Cos for being a first time author her book has definitely captured my attention and I would recommend it to my friends.. Lay your hands on this one and m sure you r definitely not gonna regret
And last but not the least thanks to BlogAdda, I dint have to beg, borrow or steal to lay my hands on this lovely book

Twilight hour rung athwart the earth

Darkness spread, sunlight in dearth

She crept up along the wilderness

Stealthily, adorned in her black dress

Awaiting his arrival yet another night

Quickened paces, emotions tight

Sauntered pass the bereft trees

Sensing beyond what the eye sees

Beads on her brow, this warm September

A year back right here, would he remember?

Their mellow love inscribed across valley

Scented flowers, dewy grass- their ally

Ah! That sweet september love

When sparks flew o’er heathery alcove

Moments etched pure in her every pore

He left as she yearned for more

Alas! The night lost forever

Left unto faith to tether

Hours of tonight, passed in eerie silence

Nocturnal friends awaited, anxiety intense

In the wake of the moon shining bright

Sitting by the rock, she wept in quiet

Another night ends, another defeat

Amplified wait for next meet

Crestfallen she trudged, forlorn

As arose Sun, embarking new dawn

A wait so long, lasting eternity

Until togetherness sets her free
