Obsession…!!!
My heart makes a confession
You’ve become an obsession
Planning to sleep
On my bed I lay
But thoughts of you
Sweep me away
Even in my dreams
I feel your presence
Wake up lucidly
To the rupture immense
My heart makes a confession
You’ve become an obsession
.
Staring at the ceiling
See the fan spin by
Try to catch up on winks
That defies my balmy eyes
I check the time
The clock struck three
Clasped my eyelids tight
Yet you don’t leave me
My heart makes a confession
You’ve become an obsession
.
Every minute, every second
You are on my mind
No matter how hard I try
They simply don’t unbind
Leaves me pining
Chasm in my heart
Every effort futile
Till soul tears apart
My heart makes a confession
You’ve become an obsession
.
I have tried and lost
Don’t fight them anymore
They come & swathe me
Like waves hit the shore
Slowly erode back
Leaving me Bereft
With pangs of guilt
Corroding me, they left
My heart makes a confession
You’ve become an obsession
