Happy New Year folks..

OK i knw i have been a little late on this 😦

but m happy that i have managed to make itΒ  in time atleast πŸ˜•

This year i have promised to be as regular and loyal to my blogs and the various prompts that i have been doing… And esp to Jingle for introducing a whole new world of poetry to me.. I shall always be grateful to her for discovering me and yes will try to be as regular on the Poets Rally as I can .. and this is one promise I definitely intend keeping up…

I also intend to take up as many new forms of poetry as I can and practice all the old ones too πŸ™‚

So for this week’s rally I present a new form (atleast new to me) Etheree

Etheree

The poetry form, Etheree, consists of 10 lines of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 syllables.Β  Etheree can also be reversed and written 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.Β  Get creative and write an Etheree with more than one verse, but follow suit with an inverted syllable count.

Reversed Etheree:Β  10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1

Double Etheree:Β  1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 10, 9, 8, 7, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1

Lost

In thoughts

Stirring slow

Mixing crystals

My notions mellow

Tensions dissolve away

The nectar graces my throat

Feeling of warmth spreads across me

I bite into some sugar cookies

After all its me time – my tea time. Bliss!

As time goes by I head back to my seat

Work sucking me in like a twister

My head spins, I amble around

Marching forth like a soldier

Fallen, struck but not gone

I retaliate

Fight at all costs

But burn out

Craving

Lost

  3. Very sweet, Meg. Made me sad for ending the tea time and being sucked back into the work time. Especially today where I am sitting in my chair, drinking my coffee, thinking about going to work/school tomorrow. And knowing every fiber of my being does not want to go!!!! No!!!!

      its jus that you have to keep a track of counting syllables πŸ˜€
