~::~ Ripples of Life ~::~

After a long long time, yes seems like I could squeeze in an awful lot of fairytales in the meantime, I have returned back to my Blog.

Its depressing to see that I – who once wrote 3-4 poems a day, am barely able to write 1 in 3-4 months.

I wonder if its Age catching up or is it just a mental block!!

Nonetheless I hope and pray I get some more creative urges to pen down more poems 😦

While for now I leave you with this freeverse πŸ™‚

~::~ Ripples of Life Β ~::~Β

Tangerine hued skies, silent zephyr

O’er the icy cool waters, a lonely boat stirs

As he set off baiting fish for a living

Daily chore he must do unfailing Β Β

The lake seems calm but inner turmoil persists

The ache on his back which he tries to resist

A trickle of sweat adorns his brows

Yet everyday he must be on his toes

Incessant rowing makes his elbows creak

Creases of skin adorn his wheatish frail physique

Mellowed down eyes, with darkness of hell

Of years gone by, he himself couldn’t tell

A meagre few he gathered after a hard day’s toil

Tomorrow he shall return without as much a roil

A nightingale croons her sweet song at a distance

He’s heard them & seen a million setting suns

Time to wrap up & leave for the warmth of his home

He sauntered back as the sky turned monochrome

A simple dinner, diet of subsistence

Yet he slept with content of heavenly existence

    Welcome back. I liked the soothing feel that the poem had. At the end, being content is really how someone can be happy right? Kudos!
