~::~ [A-Z Challenge] ~ Blitz ~::~

So day 2, b=Blitz poetry

The Blitz Poem, a poetry form created by Robert Keim.

This form of poetry is a stream of short phrases and images with repetition and rapid flow.
Begin with one short phrase, it can be a cliché. Begin the next line with another phrase that begins with the same first word as line 1. The first 48 lines should be short, but at least two words. For more details you could check out Shadow Poetry!

Stars bright

Stars with me

Me awake

Me lonely

Lonely night

Lonely path

Path of life

Path to future

Future bleak

Future unknown

Unknown love

Unknown thoughts

Thoughts a million

Thoughts wandering

Wandering mind

Wandering heart

Heart alone

Heart that yearns

Yearns for love

Yearns for togetherness

Togetherness that’s beautiful

Togetherness that’s forever

Forever is fairy-tale

Forever is mystical

Mystical sight

Mystical night

Night dark

Night sublime

Sublime fears

Sublime senses

Senses superfluous

Senses mysterious

Mysterious realms

Mysterious dreams

Dreams piled up

Dreams overload

Overload of despair

Overload of emotions

Emotions overkill

Emotions frozen

Frozen as memories

Frozen & treasured

Treasured & cherished

Treasured as precious

Precious life

Precious moments

Moments dreams

Moments stolen

Dreams

Stolen

    • thank you Kim! I’m glad you liked it, it is an interesting form and the repetitiveness brings in a gud rhythm to it!! you shud try it someday 🙂

      • Thanks Meg, I think I would like to give it a try, I’ll do some googling and see what “rules” I need to apply to make it work.

      • please do!! there arent much rules except that it has to be repetitive and 48 lines long! but do take your time.. maybe you could do P = Poetry for A-Z 😉

    • 48 lines is indeed a long poem trust me, took me almost a day to get it done! 😕 but the repetitiveness and small phrases create a gud rhythm that makes it easily readable! 😀 thank you for visiting 🙂
