Day 10, I= Inverted Refrain

The Inverted Refrain, created by Jan Turner, consists of four 6-line stanzas, for a total of 24 lines.
Rhyme scheme per stanza: Lines #1-4 are abab;
Lines #5 and #6, the two inverted refrain lines, can be a,b or b,a.
Meter: 8 syllables in every line.

~::~ Piece Of Me ~::~

I’m searching for a part of me

A part that’s precious and esteemed

It’s been lost for eternity

I search but it was unredeemed

                A precious part of me it seemed

                Yet unfound for infinity

I have combed for it high & low

Through the various realms of earth

Hidden mocking, it lay furlough

Concealed it stayed, content and mirth

                Through all realms I tried to unearth

                The mocking part veiled & stowed

Clandestine union it would be

The day I find that missing piece

Atlast I’d be complete & free

All fears and anxieties would cease

                Contentment dwells & heart at peace

                When the missing piece completes me

A single line of verse

Lost in lingo-universe

My mind’s as blank as slate

Wonder wats happening off late

The poetry that flowed freely once

Seems to be mocking at me askance

No words no rhymes no fire

Even pics fail to inspire

I cry alone craving for words

They fly around like scornful birds

I hope I wish these shadows lift

And once again my poetic boat’s adrift

Untitled – Why should all poems be titled?? This poem does not conform to usual standards…!!

Yuppiieeeeee..!!  Another of those crazy endeavor of  my insane mind… 😈

My idiosyncrasies know no bounds 😉

So here’s the plan..

We write poems…We write them on a particular topic.. Heading to a particular direction.. Aimed at something..

A more of less definite path… specific idea.. explicit emotions expressed…

But what about those random thoughts that hit our grey cells which can be churned out as poems but they may/may not have  a specific direction.. No aim.. No topic.. Sometimes no logic too

Just plain random thoughts of a murky mind…

They are directionless poems..More in the league of abstract maybe even non-sensical lines with a poetic interlude..

So here’s sharing some random but poetic thoughts..

Things are as they are

No matter how bizarre

Nothing ever matters

Idiosyncratic we all are

.

People don’t change ever

As habits alter never

It’s the circumstances that

Modify our lives forever

.

We have laughed we have smiled

Even in incidents that have riled

We have always moved on

Looking at life all beguiled

.

Every step in awe

Sometimes fell in flaw

We still manage to soar

Free from failure’s claw

.

We fall down and soon get up

Sometimes slow sometimes gallop

No matter how life takes us

In the end we always cheer up

So there… there is no direction each para is independent of the other.. but there is a chance you can loop them together with a thin thread of logic and continuance and try to make sense..  🙄

Sounds Conundrum and chaotic eh..?? 😉

And yeaa gobbledygook too… 😈

Yeeepiiiee I knw..so typical me naa…  😆

Sigh..!! nonetheless that’s me… 😉
