~::~ [A-Z Challenge] ~ Kyrielle Sonnet ~::~

Day 11, K= Kyrielle Sonnet

A Kyrielle Sonnet consists of 14 lines (three rhyming quatrain stanzas and a non-rhyming couplet). Just like the traditional Kyrielle poem, the Kyrielle Sonnet also has a repeating line or phrase as a refrain (usually appearing as the last line of each stanza). Each line within the Kyrielle Sonnet consists of only eight syllables. Therefore, a good rhyming scheme for a Kyrielle Sonnet would be:
AabB, ccbB, ddbB, AB -or- AbaB, cbcB, dbdB, AB.

In a world of plastic, wireless

Everything brief & temporal

Where marriages aren’t timeless

Forever seems so mythical

Friend requests sent, soon unfriended

Even friendships ephemeral

Exchanges lost in timeline threads

Forever seems so mythical

Virtual love virtual war

Relationships inflexible

Welcome to our new world, bizarre

Forever seems so mythical

In a world of plastic, wireless

Forever seems so mythical

inspiration_by_destinyblue-d6thpif

Kidnapped, captured, stuck in a box shaped room

Untouched, nurtured, locked up with no windows

With nothing to do I thought this was doom

Creeping sun rays form a musical note

Music becomes my eternal saviour

Dusk brings cacophony of crickets’ vroom

Stillness rings in the air, when zephyr blows

Moonlight streams through the cracks like misty spume

In peace, I sit with words swarming in quotes

Silence for companion and muse – nature

Sleep eludes me; I’m lost in my own gloom

On brink of sanity, hum myself slow

Dawn carries dewdrops & musky perfume

Struggling in cold I clutch on to my coat

Awaiting for strong sun to shine later

It feels like spring, maybe flowers abloom

Wafting scents of honeysuckle and rose

Eyes crave to lay sight on colourful plumes

Tears stream down, a stifled scream in my throat

Pondering my fate, recite my prayer

With renewed faith, compositions consume

Music uplifts, whilst in agony’s throes

Until destiny strikes, I stay entombed

Seasons changed, but my habitat resume

Music strengthens, amidst turmoil and woes

Kidnapped, captured, stuck in a box shaped room

Until fate decides, I remain entombed

___the_waters_of_march_by_picolo_kun-d8mv4cg

I stood there waiting ‘neath the trees

My curls blown astray by the breeze

A cloud burst from murky sky’s seams

Sending down showers like jet streams

The wind bellowed with howling screams

While I stood, upholding my dreams

Of fairy tales and knightly themes

Mellow moors and dancing moonbeams

The sky lights up and showers ease

While I’m lost in my reveries

Unfading multihued bulbs divine

Lovely colours, a beautiful palette
