Another year

Another time

A slight fear

For the same mime

A wish unfulfilled

A desire incomplete

A heart strong willed

To never accept defeat

A fight sublime

Heartbeats surreal

A song in rhyme

A prattling spiel

Yearnings of eternity

Periods of despair

Borne with dexterity

Though unfair

A hope in heart

A smile on face

Life re-starts

Dawn embraced

Another expedition

Steps retraced

Another mission

Begins with grace!!!

But my heart soulless

Still pines and longs

Absence makes a mess

Cascading river free

Splendor un-trespassed

Cornucopia of beauty

Spread all around me

Yet emptiness encompassed

Clouds hung low

Dark smoky gray

As if an onset of storm

Barrenness begins to grow

Minds astray

I sit under the orange moon bright

That burns with me on a starry night

Waiting by frothy Blue River

Every sound sends a quiver

Fireflies roam scattering dim light

Gnawing breeze mocking my plight

Gazing at a faraway planet

Hope all lost, despair Besets

Silently a flower blooms in darkness

While I wonder why mind’s unrest

Clouds seem to run for covers

While loneliness over me, hovers

Awaiting the arrival of a love- unreal

A face lost under thick fog veil

Shouldnt say hectic weekend but yes enjoying and chilling out indeed 🙂

so here’s me back with yet another poem,.. this one’s a sad one though..

I loved the pic and thats wat inspired this poem..

I sit beneath crying clouds

That weep with me, alone

Crimson tears that scream aloud

Rain chills me to the bone

Lost in my own reverie

Waiting for tides to turn

Life seems to be dreary

Solace is all I yearn

.

Days become nights

Only hope lingers

Yet not a tuppence of respite

Faith slipping through fingers

Loneliness grows over

Mind absolutely weary

Agony is all that hovers

Both, clouds & me teary..

Cloudy Dark rainy night

Lonely Star twinkled bright

Caressing zephyr unfurls my mind

In retrospect thoughts unwind

Moments spent together

Talking nonsense, even weather

Sipping tea having fun

Laughing over our lil puns

Rain drenched, jumping puddles

Thunder & lightening made us huddle

Movies, music, senseless jabber

These memories make it even harder

To accept brutal truth’s throes

Harsh reality that life bestows

My feelings I could never convey

One murky night you passed away

Tears always brim my eyes

I never got to say goodbye

*Note –  This poem is dedicated to a dear friend and colleague who was my partner in crime all the time that I spent in Reliance -DAKC.. He suffered from throat cancer which he never realised and when they did diagnose it was too late to cure.. I never went to meet him at the hospital as I knew I couldnt stand him bedridden with all those tubes thru his body and I knew I would break down… Which he definitely wouldnt approve of… He was the closest buddy I have ever had.. I still feel guilty for not having met him.. and I hope he forgives me…  where ever he is 😥

You will always be missed buddy 😥 and no one I believe can ever take your place pal.. I miss you 😦

Every droplet lingers

Dripping between fingers

Wind whistling like singers

Dark clouds play harbingers.. Dark clouds play harbingers…

Heart aches and yearns

Throbbing pain returns

Like a storm it churns

But my mind spurns… But my mind spurns

 .

Raindrops tickle my skin

Slipping down my chin

Lips flaunt a grin

A roaring sting within… A roaring sting within..

 .

My hurt I suppress

Without much success

No matter how much I digress

Life’s a mess.. Life’s a mess…

 .

Under darkened skies

There exist no lies

Silently sobbing eyes

I live a life where am not happy

I have a feeling which says you are losing out

We don’t talk, we don’t converse

We exist far apart

Life moves on but i linger

Hoping one day I’ll get what i want from you

I can’t force you neither can i beg

All i can do is wait… that i do on a bed of arrows

I fall down but i don’t break

The hope in me doesn’t flicker

The yearning eyes keep the fire burning

And my life moves by the ticker

I may move on but the dream doesn’t die

Standing by the shores yet another sunset

Awaiting for the dawn break in my life

Sunrays streaming brightening lonely nights
