Day 16, P = Pantoum
The pantoum consists of a series of quatrains rhyming ABAB in which the second and fourth lines of a quatrain recur as the first and third lines in the succeeding quatrain; each quatrain introduces a new second rhyme as BCBC, CDCD. The first line of the series recurs as the last line of the closing quatrain, and third line of the poem recurs as the second line of the closing quatrain, rhyming ZAZA.
~::~ Dewdrop Fantasies ~::~
I am not a mere water droplet
Not just a dewdrop, silken yet mundane
Holding a universe in me, I’m a vignette
Of beauty, marvel and spectacular arcane
Not just a dewdrop, silken yet mundane
I’m a bubble of life in marvellous display
Of beauty, marvel and spectacular arcane
Mysteries of multi-verses unknown at play
I’m a bubble of life in marvellous display
Of colour, happiness, and exotic splendour
Mysteries of multiverses unknown at play
Spreading sheer euphoria & luminescent grandeur
Incandescent lands with celestial presence
Holding a universe in me, I’m a vignette
Dwelled by ethereal beings of resplendence
I am not a mere water droplet

off i go to chk the others!!
I used to really enjoy reading and writing poetry in high school.
I’ve always been a fan of learning about the different types of poetry that are out there. I had never heard of a Pantoum before today, but your example was awesome. I’ll be looking forward to coming back to learn more.
